PHOTOGRAPHY GROUP OUTINGAutumn at the Lake of GenvalLed by Trevor WaldronSunday 20th October 2019. 08.30 - 12.30
Seasonal colours and reflections! Enjoy developing your photography skills!
Here's a great opportunity to meet some fellow passionate photographers like yourself, capture some different images, take in the fresh air and views - and contribute to charity! All at the same time as we explore the views and nearby woods and paths of Lake Genval! Please be aware that this is not a workshop, instead more of an informal gathering of photographers of different experience who wish to practice/share ideas. We'll be available for advice and suggestions of course along the way, and if you have any questions, feel free to ask.
The Lake is over a kilometer and a half long and sits in a shallow wooded valley. Apart from 3 or 4 attractive chalet-style villas at one place on the lake, there's plenty of direct lake access and open paths along the banks elsewhere. There's also a quite impressive fountain - small echoes of Lake Geneva, maybe the similar names are not a complete coincidence!
We meet up at 0830 and depart at 0835 to the Lake of Genval - it's an easy drive of less than 30 minutes. Please be on time as we will not be able to wait for late-arrivals. For those without transport, there is the possibility of carpooling.
While this photo outing is free, a modest charity donation of €8 is requested from each participant to:
- Cover the time in organising car pooling
- Guidance at the venue
- Avoid 'No-show'
The €8 should made to
Serve the City Brussels asbl, that OR to any charity organisation of your choice. This is part of our social responsibilities projects "Giving Back to Society".
As it takes some organising and planning, the deadline to sign up is Friday noon, 18th October 2019.
There is no need to provide proof of payment, the donation is requested on a trust basis.
