ARTISTIC LINGERIE & NUDE
PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP
Sunday 27th September 2020

Artistic Lingerie & Nude Photography is like your canvas to tell a story by creating striking compositions. Using light, shadows, posing and concepts, you can begin with an idea and bring out the beauty of your subjects and the human body.

When you create a nude photograph and the first thing that you notice is the nudity, you are missing the point! Making fine art nude photographs requires technical prowess, creative vision and an ability to collaborate with the model.

I will cover posing techniques and tips on what to emphasise and what to avoid, set up lighting and shoe how it affects the mood and body form.

This workshop is for the photographer who is passionate about art nude photography and would like to explore and emphasise this artistry in their work.

What are the image usage rights?

You may not sell the images as stock photography, alter or use them in a public way which is generally considered as disrepectful or demeaning to the model.

You may use them as part of your portfolio and exhibitions.

Can I ask the model to take a pose for my shot?

Yes, you can.  This is the reason for the workshop, as long as it is not pornographic or disrespectful. Our model is professional, used to posing nude and will work with you. The model reserves the right to decline any posing requests that he/she is not comfortable with.  Each workshop is different and each model has different comfort levels of nudity. They will be explained to you before the shoot and please respect their wishes.

Can I ask for the model's contact details?

No, you may not. If you like, you can send your images to the model through me and they will be forwarded.

I am shooting on 'auto' or not comfortable  working with my camera. Can I join the workshop?

You are advised join my 'Basic Photography Workshop' to get the most out of this session. Otherwise, please follow my camera settings and shootin  instructions.

If you have never shot portraits or not comfortable working with a model, I recommend that you join 'The Art of Portrait Photography' scheduled earlier.

Will we be working with available light or studio strobe lights setting? (Especially Sony cameras)

For this workshop, we will be working with both. For studio lights setting to work wirelessly, your camera must have a hot shoe mount (all DSLRs and most hi-end mirrorless cameras have this feature). For most Canon, Nikon, Olympus, and Pentax cameras (analogue and digital), they use the standard ISO hot shoe mount and can connect to the studio strobes. If you are a Sony/Minolta user, you wil need an adaptor like this.

As a back up to connect to the studio strobes (not the most ideal), you could connect via Infrared tigger or cable to the flash sync terminal. However this is not guaranteed to work.

Can I change the set-up of the shooting session?

There will be regular changes in set-ups and lighting. Any suggestion will be taken into consideration but you may not unilaterally change the set-up or lighting conditions.
